PROBLEMS OF JOINT FAMILY.

Hey friends!!After my first blog am here with a short story of a girl named Ananya and the problems she faced after the most happy part of life…….MARRIAGE.

The girl named Ananya was married into a joint family. It was a family of two brothers and one sister, named Amit, Sumit and Anika. Ananya married middle son named Sumit, who was doing his business of motor parts. Amit was a service-man. Apart from the two couples, Sumit’s mother and Anika’s family also lived with them in the family. With the passage of time, Ananya realized that her in-law’s were very strict and domineering. Anika always complained about her. Whenever Sumit and Ananya went out, Anika used to send her two young children with them. Ananya did not refuse to take him with her. Ananya was also not given proper food. Amit’s wife also faced the same problems. Sumit also stood by his mother and sister’s side. Ananya was the only daughter of her parents apart from her younger brother. Ananya was coming from a well-to-do family. Eventually she faced such problems, she did not complain about anything to her parents or brother. She was not even allowed to go to her house. When she wanted to go to her house, her husband always refused, saying that it is her duty to take care of the people in that house and not in her house. Sumit even used to beat her. After the birth of their first child, Ananya’s parents often visited Sumit’s house to see their granddaughter, Alisha and was constantly humiliated by Anika and Sumit. Sumit didn’t like nuclear family. The person who had to advise him i.e. his mother used to think the same as she thought Ananya would use up/get all his earnings. Ananya finally lost her temper and reacted with hate and anger. Ananya went back to her home. Now Alisha and Ananya are living there. Ananya and Sumit are divorced. Now, Anika and her mother have no complaints. Ananya is now an independent woman. And she is living happily with her child. And the story ended like any other. There are many women around us like Ananya who are suffering because they got married to a joint family. In my opinion nuclear family is better than such joint family.
